Upgrading Your Plan
How to upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your TrussNote subscription.
You can change your plan at any time from the Billing page. Upgrades are instant. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period.
How to upgrade
- Go to Settings > Billing in the left sidebar
- Click Upgrade plan or Change plan
- Select the plan you want to switch to
- Confirm your payment method or add a new one
- Click Confirm upgrade
Your new plan activates immediately. Your credit pool is updated to reflect the new plan's allocation for the remainder of the current billing period (prorated).
How to downgrade
- Go to Settings > Billing
- Click Change plan
- Select a lower plan
- Confirm the downgrade
Your current plan remains active until the end of your billing period. The downgrade takes effect on your next renewal date. You will receive an email confirmation with the effective date.
If your team size exceeds the lower plan's member limit, you will need to remove members before the downgrade takes effect. The Billing page will alert you if this applies.
Proration on upgrades
When you upgrade mid-cycle, you are charged only for the remaining days in your current billing period at the new rate. The difference is calculated automatically. You will see a summary of the charges before confirming.
No proration is applied to credits. Your new credit allocation starts at your next billing date.
How to cancel
- Go to Settings > Billing
- Click Cancel subscription
- Select a cancellation reason (optional)
- Confirm cancellation
Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period. You retain full access to all features and your data until that date.
After cancellation, your account enters a read-only state. You can still view and download all previously generated reports. AI tools are no longer available.
Your data is retained for 90 days after cancellation. After 90 days, your organization data is permanently deleted. Contact support@trussnote.com before this window closes if you need a data export.
Switching to Enterprise
Enterprise plans are not available through self-serve checkout. Contact us at support@trussnote.com to discuss:
- Custom credit volumes
- Team size beyond 20 members
- Invoice billing and purchase orders
- SSO and security controls
- Dedicated onboarding and account management
Payment methods
We accept all major credit and debit cards via Stripe. We do not store your full card number. Enterprise customers can request invoice billing.
To update your payment method, go to Settings > Billing > Payment method and click Update card.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a free trial? New accounts go through an approval process and receive a free trial period. No credit card is required during the trial.
Can I pause my subscription instead of cancelling? Subscription pause is not currently available. Contact support@trussnote.com if you have an unusual situation and we will work with you.
What if I was overcharged? Contact support@trussnote.com with your billing date and the amount. We resolve billing issues within 2 business days.
