Profile and Settings

How to update your personal profile, organization details, and app preferences in TrussNote.

Your profile and organization settings are managed from the Settings page, accessible from the left sidebar or the dropdown menu in the top right corner.

Your personal profile

Your profile includes the information visible to your team members and used to personalize your TrussNote experience.

To update your profile:

  1. Click your name or avatar in the top right corner
  2. Select Profile from the dropdown
  3. Update your name, title, phone number, or avatar
  4. Click Save changes

Profile fields

Organization settings

Organization settings are accessible to Admin members only. To update your organization details:

  1. Go to Settings in the left sidebar
  2. Click the Organization tab

From there you can update:

  • Organization name
  • Primary discipline
  • Primary service region
  • Organization logo (used in proposal exports)

Notification preferences

Manage what emails you receive from TrussNote:

  1. Go to Settings > Notifications
  2. Toggle individual notification types on or off

Available notification types:

  • Report generation complete
  • Team member joins or leaves
  • Credit balance low (below 20%)
  • New features and product updates
  • Billing receipts

Display preferences

  • Theme: Light or dark mode (toggle from the header bar)
  • Default tool: Set a default tool to open when you log in
  • Report language: English only currently

Changing your email address

Email changes require verification. To change your email:

  1. Go to Settings > Profile
  2. Click Change email
  3. Enter your new email and current password
  4. Check your new email for the verification link

Your old email continues to work until the new one is verified.

Changing your password

  1. Go to Settings > Profile
  2. Click Change password
  3. Enter your current password and new password
  4. Click Update password

Passwords must be at least 8 characters. We recommend using a password manager.

Deleting your account

Account deletion removes your personal profile from TrussNote. It does not delete your organization or its reports. Another admin must remain in the organization before you can delete your account.

To request account deletion:

  1. Go to Settings > Profile
  2. Scroll to Danger zone
  3. Click Delete my account
  4. Confirm with your password

If you are the only admin in your organization, you must either promote another member to admin or contact support@trussnote.com to handle the deletion alongside your organization data.
